Save You

by The Invisible

/

about

The Invisible return with “Save You,” a perfect fusion of London soul, LA beat scene experimentalism and D’Angeloid funk. With a first play from Zane Lowe on his Beats1 show, this shuffling, restless exercise in subtle ear-wormery sounds a little like the beautiful offspring of Nile Rodgers and The xx. Or to put it another way, like nothing except The Invisible.

The Invisible’s first album was nominated for a Mercury Music Prize. Their second was described, amongst many good things, as “incredibly uplifting and moving” (Vice). The three members of the band have played, individually or collectively, with just about everyone from Adele to St Vincent, Grace Jones, the Britten Sinfonia, Jack DeJohnette, Roots Manuva, Jamie Woon, Hot Chip, Zongamin, Gramme, Yoko Ono, Beck and many others. In addition, guitarist/vocalist Dave Okumu has produced Jessie Ware, Rosie Lowe, Paloma Faith, Eska, Lilly Wood and Kwabs and is currently working with Loyle Carner.
